A Winter Storm Watch has been issued through Sunday, January 25. Columbia Heights Water customers are encouraged to take a few simple steps now to help prevent frozen pipes:

✔️ Let cold water faucets drip slowly
✔️ Open sink cabinet doors to allow warm air to circulate
✔️ Insulate pipes in unheated areas
✔️ Remove and drain outdoor hoses
✔️ Cover outside spigots with foam covers or insulated material

Taking these precautions can help avoid costly damage during freezing temperatures. Please stay warm, prepared, and safe during this winter weather.
